Training and Certification

Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., recognizes that technical operator training is just as important as the equipment resources deployed.

Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., has carefully crafted and adopted a set of exacting technical standards for operational deployment and brings this knowledge and experience into the most technologically advanced classroom setting available.

Our standards based approach involves several essential levels of basic familiarization training, technical operator certification and advanced Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM Designate Certification based training programs.

The Technical Security Branch (TSB) recognizes that there is no one (1) equipment resource available that is independently capable of meeting all known and developing technological TSCM or economic espionage related threats.

Kestrel TSCM Professional Software and the Microtel receiver...This is an extremely important fact very few technical operators truly understand or are prepared to address.

It is for this reason that PDTG Inc., has remained, and continues to remain, non-manufacturer specific when it comes to providing our Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM Designate Certification training program.

We firmly believe that participants attending our training need to be exposed to as many TSCM equipment resources as possible to be considered true technical security professionals and we will continue to do so in the future.

Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each method, technique, deployment practice and equipment resource is absolute.

Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., offers the only Technical Security Specialist (TSS) Designate Certification program in North America and beyond based on the TSB 2000 (Technical) TM Standard.

Resident Training Centre (RTC) LoungeThe TSB 2000 (Technical) Standard TM and the Operational Standard Policy and Procedure Guideline (OS-PPG) TM are based on proven work flow driven best practices that have been aggressively developed over the past (35 +) years.

The TSB 2000 (Technical) Standard TM is the only formal operational and technical standard worldwide with integrated training and experience requirements.

There are many manufacturer specific training opportunities available and a number of these offer excellent insight into the operation of their respective equipment resources, but these programs often focus on capability and are not always objective when it comes to the limitations.

Most of these programs are generic in nature, end-user focused; and do not have any meaningful certification or work flow value for professional level sweep work.

Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM Designate Certification training is an equally important consideration and regardless of other training opportunities attended or pursued and we strongly recommend that you attend the Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM Designate Certification program and maintain your certification by attending the Annual Certification Review (ACR) TM.

Benefits

The benefits of initial, on-going and periodic technical security and counter-intelligence training is an absolutely essential element for every professional level technical operator regardless of the threat level anticipated.

The Probability of Detection (POD) by the technical operator is significantly enhanced and liability is reduced when a balanced approach is taken with respect to initial certification training and the deployment of a wide variety of primary and secondary equipment resources, methods and techniques.

New hostile technical threats are identified on a daily basis and what the technical operator knew a year ago is simply not good enough today.

Advanced Operator Certification - 3 Full Days

Our Technical Security Branch (TSB) provides a 3-day, Kestrel TSCM Professional Software - Advanced Operator Certification workshop for both new and experienced technical operators.

As with any newly acquired equipment resource or deployment technology, the average technical operator is likely to only utilize approximately 25 to 40 percent of the equipment capability without proper training.

Gain confidence and experience with hands-on practical training as led by an experienced Technical Security Instructor (TSI), Paul D Turner, TSS TSI

The completion of the base requirements for this program qualify as part of the Annual Certification Review (ACR) TM for continuing education credit towards the Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM designation.

Optional: Participants may purchase the Kestrel TSCM Professional Software during the training at a discounted rate - Contact our office for details.

Note: This is a basic familiarization program designed to focus on the Kestrel TSCM TM Professional Software setup, operation, and deployment capability and is not a TSCM specific training program.
