Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., has carefully crafted and adopted a set of exacting technical standards as defined by the TSB 2000 (Technical) Standard TM for operational field deployment and brings this knowledge and experience into the most technologically advanced classroom setting available.

We are also able to deliver our Certified Technical Operator (CTO) TM program via our Remote Virtual Classroom (RVC) TM format with the aid of an innovative instructor / participant Classroom Management System (CMS), providing interactive learning technology.

Our standards-based approach involves several essential levels of integrated familiarization training that includes our Certified Technical Operator (CTO) TM and Certified Government Technical Operator (CGTO) TM program deliverables relative to the Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software | Signals Intelligence Support System TM.

We also office an advanced Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM Designate Certification program conducted at our Canadian-based Resident Training Centre (RTC) TM.

Our training does not simply focus on the positive aspects of equipment resources, such as is often the case with manufacturer specific training.

The TSB 2000 (Technical) Standard TM and the Operational Standard Policy and Procedure Guideline (OS-PPG) TM are pioneered on proven work-flow driven best practices that have been aggressively developed over the past (40 +) years, separating the obsolete cold war era tactics from a modern standards-based moving target threat model.

The TSB 2000 (Technical) Standard TM is the only formal operational technical standard worldwide with integrated training, experience, equipment requirements, and on-going professional development.

There are many manufacturer specific training opportunities available and a number of these offer excellent insight into the operation of their respective equipment resources.

However, these programs often focus on capability and are not always objective when it comes to the limitations and their instructors often mimic the original content and key concepts of the industry leaders .

The vast majority of these programs are generic in nature, end-user focused; and do not have any meaningful certification or work-flow value for professional level analytical sweep work.

Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM Designate Certification training is an important consideration regardless of other training opportunities attended or pursued.

We strongly recommend that you attend the Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM Designate Certification program and maintain your certification by meeting the Annual Certification Review (ACR) TM requirements for on-going professional development.

There are several configurations for basic, intermediate and advanced training components available, each delivered as resident and non-resident components and formats.

Standard packaged and specific custom training content delivery is available to meet specialized training requirements of the end-user.


Training Benefits

Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM

14-Day | Resident Training Centre (RTC) TM

Our Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM Designate Certification Program consists of 120 hours (14-days) at our Canadian Resident Training Centre (RTC) TM. Classroom time and equipment resources are divided across three (3) specific training phases combined into a single extended training program.

Our TSS TM certification program is run in a full-time resident format and includes all on-site meals, individual private accommodation. Basic, intermediate and advanced training elements are led by experienced instructors with a focus on practical hands-on exercises.

Participants have the opportunity to work with live and simulated analog and digital threat technology, telecommunications equipment, wireless telephone systems and sophisticated countermeasures equipment resources.

Note: The TSS TM program content delivery includes the Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software | Certified Technical Operator (CTO) TM training.

Optional: Participants may elect to purchase the Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software and other equipment resources during the training at a discounted rate.

Certified Technical Operator (CTO) TM

7-Day | Resident Training Centre (RTC) TM

5-Day Non-Resident Format

The Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software is the leading standards-based TSCM specific and operator centric Software Defined Radio (SDR) applications available.

Our 7-Day and 5-Day Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software | Certified Technical Operator (CTO) TM program is recommended for both new and experienced technical operators.

Participants gain hands-on experience with modern TSCM concepts including the importance of geo-location heat mapping, and IQ capture and playback.

Geo-location heat mapping, and IQ processing are essential features of the modern spectrum warrior and are simply not available in other competitive products or training programs.

As with any newly acquired equipment resource or deployment technology, the average technical operator is likely to utilize only 40 to 60 percent of the equipment capability without proper training.

It is strongly recommended that all technical operators consider purchasing a training package during the software procurement process.

The successful completion of the requirements for this program qualify as part of the Annual Certification Review (ACR) TM for continuing education credit towards the Technical Security Specialist (TSS) TM designation.

This is a complete Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware and software program that is designed to focus on the core technology of the Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software. Participants gain working knowledge about the setup, operation and deployment capability within the scope of Radio-Frequency (RF) and Power Line (PL) analytical environment. This program is not a general skills oriented TSCM specific training program.

Optional: Participants may purchase the Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software and other resources during the training at a discounted rate.

5-Day | Virtual Classroom Format

5-Day WebEx Remote Virtual Classroom

Now you can experience the benefits and convenience of our new Virtual Classroom delivery.

This new program delivery format is in response to the global pandemic, which has created a significant backlog in our ability to deliver enhanced classroom training.

Prerequisites: Include the requirement for the participant to own a licensed copy of the Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software and a host computer network connection suitable to run a WebEx virtual classroom session.

Note: Candidates for this program who do not own a licensed copy of the Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software may be eligible for a 10% software and training discount when software and training are purchased together.

Our program format is instructor taught, monitored and includes instructor / participant interaction as a qualifying certificate program with challenge and response requirements.

Participants must attend all 5-days of the training to qualify for the Certified Technical Operator (CTO) TM designation.

Remote Virtual Classroom (RVC) TM

5-Day | On-Site Remote Virtual Classroom

The on-going global pandemic has restricted international travel and gatherings such as preferred classroom based-training causing a significant backlog in the delivery of our training commitments worldwide.

For this reason, we have devised a means to deliver high quality certification-based training via a remote instructional team that is virtually on-site to monitor and direct skill and experienced-based learning.

Requirements: As the training is certification oriented, each remote participant must have Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software workstation (computer) and supported SDR radio to qualify as a Certified Technical Operator (CTO) TM or Certified Government Technical Operator (CGTO) TM candidate.

In advance of the scheduled training, our proprietary Classroom Management System (CMS) TM will be shipped to the host organization with the necessary instructions and support. The CMS TM “black box” technology is shipped to the training host organization on loan and must be returned upon completion of the certification training.

Please understand that controlled-goods practices may be required. There is no additional charge for the CMS TM technology aside from a flat rate shipping cost which is added to the training quote.

The CMS TM technology provides the remote instructional team located at the Red Deer Training Centre (RDTC) TM in Alberta Canada. Our ability to directly engage participants with a realistic Over-the-Air (OTA), live Radio-Frequency (RF) and Power Line (PL) training environment across an interactive Kestrel user-interface that can be projected within the training environment.

Participants and Instructors see the same localized and enhanced signal environment.

The CMS TM technology is managed on-site and is setup by a designed responsible person within the host organization across a dedicated network connection for instructional C2 access during the training.

The CMS TM must be activated at the beginning of each training day, by attaching and placing two (2) separate antennas within the training environment and connecting the system to the classroom projector.

The cost of the training is based strictly on the number of participants attending and the shipping cost of the CMS TM technology.

Our Remote Virtual Classroom (RVC) TM training is conducted as a 5-day remotely delivered format that is time-zone friendly and participant work-day oriented for maximum efficiency.

Note: Participants may need to purchase Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software licenses and hardware resources in advance of the training.

This program cannot be delivered unless participants are equipped with Kestrel TSCM ® Professional Software | Signals Intelligence Support System TM workstations (software and hardware) for use during the training.

Please note that our instructor delivered Virtual Classroom Series is free of charge for existing licensed technical operators and end user entities worldwide. Tuition fees apply for non-licensed individuals and entities on a per participant session basis.

Our virtual classroom training is conducted from the Red Deer Training Centre (RDTC) TM located in Alberta Canada.
