GSAD UPDATE 2024-10

We are pleased to announce that the GSAD UPDATE 2024-10 for the Global Spectrum Analysis Database (GSAD) has been fully updated after an internal corrupted website page prevented uploading of new files. The GSAD UPDATE 2024-10 includes a significant backlog of Kestrel Reference Files (KRT) posted this week. The internal website issue has been addressed and the Kestrel community will find their previously submitted GSAD-KRT files now visible and available for download. This project is supported by the greater Kestrel community worldwide with downloadable and interoperable spectra files that can be safely shared and distributed across any number of operators, both through the GSAD structure or directly as an input / output capability between interested operators. The ability to share fully anonymous comparative spectra via the Global Spectrum Analysis Database (GSAD) brings an entirely new level of sophistication to the mission, both inside and outside the operators inner circle of trust and allows greater interoperability and cooperation between different countries, and different organizations. The Global Spectrum Analysis Database is the first and only universally accepted file sharing infrastructure available to the entire TSCM and SIGINT community of technical security professionals. The Kestrel Reference Trace (KRT) is not only a shared resource, but also it can be used as a learned spectrum as a starting point within the Minimum Detection Amplitude (MDA) and the Exceedance Detection Model (EDM) features. The use of the KRT files reduces significantly nuisance alerts and detections across the localized ambient spectrum environment. This allows the technical operator to focus on less, and at the same time focus on relevant alerts and detections. Many operators are excited about the new capability that features such as KRT, GSAD, MDA, and EDM have shaped the way that TSCM is now accomplished in 2024 and are no longer mesmerized by the smoke and mirrors games that many in the industry continue to play.
