We are pleased to announce even more Kestrel Innovation, with the addition of a new feature within the Kestrel TSCM Professional Software application. Our new Temperature and Power Monitor (TPM) display provides the operator with the ability to view the radio’s FPGA operating temperature for the Signal Hound SA, BB, and SM series radios, and either the USB port power consumption, or power supply consumption during runtime, depending on the radio type. This latest Kestrel innovation can be used as a diagnostic tool and is useful for monitoring the radio FPGA temperature, or identifying USB port voltage issues. For example, the TPM display provides the following information for the BB60C and SM200B SDR radios. T:44C USB: 1028mA @ 4.63V (4.8W) and T:57C Power: 2336mA @ 11.73V (27.4W). This analytical information is useful during Remote Spectrum Surveillance and Monitoring (RSSM) assignments, when radios must be covertly installed or deployed within closed custom deployment cases or vehicles. The TPM feature can monitor diagnostic information for each independent radio, when Dual Radio Operation (DRO) or Multiple Radio Operation (MRO) is utilized. The Global Spectrum Analysis Database (GSAD) was also updated this past week with additional Kestrel Reference Trace (KRT) files. The Inspection Summary Checklist (ISC) official release code is now available and is included in the Automatic Software Installation Tool and the Air Gap Full Installer release code. It is recommended that all users migrate to the the v1.46.2 software.
